The return of the Midnight Cartel Lottery!

Announcing the return of the fabulously popular

:psy: MIDNIGHT CARTEL GUILD LOTTERY! :psy:

Camila has taken up the mantle of responsibility for re-starting our guild lotto and bi-weekly meetup!
:pom:

I have posted the rules under our Welcome menu, but I'll put them below for your perusal. We are really excited about the return of the more casual side of Midnight Cartel, with the new Activities Group!

We have as Activities Directors:

  • Camilia - Cartellotto

  • Magnummn

  • Fudder

  • Isaboe

  • Starfollowre (Prize Support)

These folks are going to be hosting some fantastic and fun events for all levels of Midnight Cartel to enjoy, and to build guild cohesion. They will be starting with the Guild Lotto... so stay posted.

Here are the rules for your reading pleasure:
Guild Lottery

A Guild Lottery is a very fun event designed to build guild camaraderie, and all members are encouraged to participate. Here's how it works:

The Lotto will take place every other Sunday (weeks 2 & 4) beginning promptly at 7 PM Server Time (server time=EST) - PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO RAIDING SCHEDULE, THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE... PLEASE WATCH THE FORUMS FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS. The Midnight Cartel Lottery is supported by the officers and the Activities Group. Cartellotto is an alt of Camilia.

  • Entrance: A ticket costs 1 gold. Your entry must be mailed to Cartellotto - the Guild Lottery Master - no later than 2 hours before draw time of Lottery Day. Everyone is welcome to participate at all levels. Donations in excess of 1 gold are always gladly accepted =)
Only members of Midnight Cartel are allowed to participate. As a change from our past rules, you MAY buy a ticket for EACH toon you have in the guild. You MUST do this by in-game mail. Each ticket gets a roll.

  • Attendance: Attendance is ENCOURAGED for getting to know your fellow members, but not required. IF YOU ARE NOT PRESENT, you can still win, but 1/2 of the winning pot will be rolled over to the next lotto (less bank cut). Winnings will be immediately handed out or mailed.
Exemption: Guardians and Camilia/Cartellotto are exempt from winning, though may donate to the lotto pot.

  • Location/Events: We will be having Guild Meet-Ups on Lotto nights. This will take place in Stormwind at the Grand Hall in the Northeast corner of the Dwarven District. (Near the Gnomish tram entrance). The Activities Group may arrange fun things to do after the Lotto, and prizes may be awarded. During past lotto meetups, the bankers have provided for enchanting parties as well, so be sure to come for fun and lewt! We'd also like to take some group screenshots (fun costumes are a necessity!).

  • Group: A Raid will be set up for all attendees to run the Lotto. This Raid Group is solely to conduct the meeting, and all levels are welcome to participate in the Meet-Up. Please be ungrouped and ready for the invite promptly at 7 PM. We kindly ask that you keep chit chat to /g or in whisper so that we can run the drawing quickly and efficiently and get back to killin'.

  • Roll: This will go quickly! We'll begin the lotto as Cartellotto names and rolls for those entrants not present, with an Assistant to verify. After, we'll note the high roll from absentees, then begin the attendees' roll by saying "Everyone Roll!" Just type "/roll" to enter.
IMPORTANT: ONE ROLL per ENTRY! If you roll twice you will be excluded from that week's lotto. There will be a Lottery Assistant present to help track rolls and to verify the winner. The Pot will be awarded immediately to the highest roller. Ties will result in a roll-off. For multiple toon entrants, the alt entries will be rolled for by Cartellotto.

  • Proceeds: The Lotto will also be a fund raiser to benefit the whole guild through the bank. 10% of Pot will be donated to the Bank. For example, if the total entrants amount to 20 Gold, then 18 G will go to the winnner, and 2 G will go to the bank. Remember to take advantage of this awesome resource... it's YOUR bank.

Thank you for reviewing our Lotto Policy. If you have any questions, or comments, please use our forums or PM Camilia.

Welcome to Patch 3.1

Here are the patch notes courtesy of WowInsider.

I sure hope all the mods don't explode everyone's system. It might be a good day to back up your WTF folders and start fresh with mod re-installs and resetting your UI.

Good Luck to all, and hopefully see you soon inside...

Lots of Changes

The guild and the progression raid group (25 mans) have gone through a lot of personnel changes over the last couple of months.

We are clearly in a bit of a rebuilding stage for the heroic raiding, however I assure you, the guild as a whole is strong, has solid leadership, and remains true to our founding values. We will continue to be one of the Vanguard guilds on Elune, and although from time to time we experience raid hiccups, we always come back stronger than the time before any drama happened.

Drama: I am taking a zero tolerance policy from here on out. If you have drama to bring, don't even bother logging on. We're all adults here and we all want to log on to some relaxing fun. Check your 'issues' at the door please, or you will be shown the door. Our number one rule here is RESPECT. Lets all demonstrate the maturity and kindness that that entails.

We founded this guild on the principles of inclusion, kindness, respect, family-friendliness, and yes also excellence in play. We have a bit to work on to that last part in terms of raiding, but I promise you the leadership has gone through this before, and knows how to get us there again. Of course our Core10s are still going strong at all levels. Soon again, our 25 mans will be farming end game content.

To that end.... We are fully Open for Recruitment. I am hoping Tyrannar continues to have the time to devote to interviewing all of our applicants, but she will need YOUR help. If you are out there playing, find an excellent person looking for a guild, please send them to the website. Maybe send a quick note to Tyrannar as well.

Of course, we're open to all good folk (After all its all about the PERSON behind the screen!), but we're also looking for some people who have the drive to fill out our raiding ranks. We are looking for skilled people in every category and in every class who can make those weekend raid times.

Also, please note that we are moving back to OPEN raiding... via our sign ups page. The progression core has been so significantly affected, we will need to re-organize it a bit. I want to emphasize, raiding WILL continue, but only if you SIGN UP!

We have gone through all of this before, and may again. The whole drama thing seems cyclical in a strange magical way ... and it happens to ALL guilds out there, so don't think we're special (well not in that way anyway ;) )

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and your friendship,
Shaade/Faade

Setting the Progression Core

Our Core10s are all moving along nicely through the normal mode content with lots of bosses being downed in Naxx10, Sarth10, and Vault10

We've had two weeks of Open Raiding downing some 7 or 8 bosses in Naxx25, and Sarth25 (no drakes), and Vault25.

Now its time to set our WoLk Progression Core group!

We will be leaving sign ups open for the next few weeks as we set the Progression Core, but please note: Priority will be given to those who apply to the core (please continue to sign up), followed by sign ups order.

As soon as the core is fully set (~30 raiders), then we will alter our Thursday, Friday and Saturday raiding to Prog Core Sign ups (and backups). Open raids will be added on other days as time allows.

To start, please head on over to the revised rules post ~~~WoLK Progression Core & Loot Policy~~~, and then go on and apply. Please review the rules as they HAVE CHANGED since our BC raiding core.

Thanks for the support everyone, and PLEASE continue to sign up for as long as you are interested in RAIDING! Just because you are core, doesn't mean you still don't have to sign up to show your availability!

Cya in cool end game stuffs....
