Haiti in our prayers

Although it has been a while since I've updated our news page, (Happy New Year, btw!) and there is lots to talk about in terms of our guild activities and progression, I wanted to ask you all to take a time out from gaming and geeking to put the people of Haiti in your thoughts and prayers for just a few minutes today.

The Tuesday earthquake has devastated the Haitian capital. With initial death tolls estimated at around 40,000, this number has skyrocketed to and estimated 200,000 souls lost on the island.

The destruction and misery tugs deeply at my heart. While I have not taken the time to post anything, and perhaps its not really applicable to a guild website, I have been grieving for those lost. Further the survivors are suffering tremendous hardship. There are many ways to help, with relief organizations such as the American Red Cross accepting your donations.

What I would ask of you all, however, as a personal favor to me, is to take some time out of your day to put the people of Haiti in your thoughts and prayers. The collected good vibes from us couln't hurt eh?
